Ungrateful sonsofbitches
I know I don’t deserve no national fame but these ungrategul sob’s here in Phoenix should at least say thanks with a statue or the name of a building or something. After the U.S. civil war I couldn’t seem to settle back into normal life and ended up wandering around the West. I told others I was looking for Gold, but truth was I was just looking. I noticed the ground was odd and figured out it must have been some canals left by the Indians from long long ago. We cleaned them out and Phoenix was reborn out of the ashes of the old hohokams civilization. “Lord” Duppa, please note my use of quotes, came up with these cheesy story. This town has always loved spin. I had suggested Swillingburg. Now I don’t even got one lousy statue. | | Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 | | 7:52 pm |
Today I went to Arizona Mills to mill this flour I got. There isn't a mill there either. The security guards seemed confused by my confusion. The also didn't seem to care for my pistol. This valley sure has changed in the last 100 years. | | Tuesday, May 17th, 2005 | | 8:30 pm |
Like I told you yesterday I went down Mill Ave, well when I was down there I saw a house. Now I seen the ladies of New Orleans. Beautiful Painted Ladies, it is a night that still keeps me up at night sometimes. So I am walking down Mill Ave (which has no Mills) carrying my bags of flower. And I see a wild place. In New Orleans the ladies still wore dresses and they did shit that a boy paying attention blush. But this place, the women weren't even wearing pants, and their tops, shit I ain't seen tits like that ever, Mexico Included. But I didn't walk to go in there with all my bags of flower so I went back tongiht to the house of painted ladies. The name of it is Hooters, I just mention that so you don't go yourself. I ordered something to quench my thirst and confidence and after a couple grabbed the girl I fancied on the ass. Well licktly split I am kicked out of the place, face down on a street that ain't even dirt. What kind of whore house don't let you touch the inventory? | | Monday, May 16th, 2005 | | 10:27 am |
Mill Ave
I went down Mill Ave. this weekend. Now I haven't been there since 1895. Man has it changed. I felt like a jackass walking around with my bags of unprocessed flour to get milled. What happened to the old mill? I guess it all moved over to the Arizona Mills place I been hearing about. | | Saturday, May 14th, 2005 | | 11:58 am |
I am having one of the worst cups of coffee I have ever had in my life. It ain't got no chunks in it. | | Tuesday, May 10th, 2005 | | 11:51 am |
break from the canal
Yesterday I was clearing out one of them old indian canals and the old gunshot pain from my left leg was making me breathe hard. Now I been working pretty hard in them canals for the last couple of weeks so it wasn't too surpising. I must have been mighty bad for the lord to make my punishment worse when I been working hard. Or maybe its the devil having a laugh. Finally I couldn't take the pain no more and took in on some morphine. I hate that stuff when I ain't doing it but lord knows I love it when I do. I been told I get mighty crazy sometimes when I do it but nobody ain't never complained too much except for my first wife. Or at least people or usually willing to forgive around these parts. There ain't enough of us to keep enemies. But "Lord" Duppa seems to be mighty pissed off at me. I ain't sure because I lose track of the days when I was working in the canal but I think I lost 3 days. | | 9:31 am |
memories
In 1854, I was struck on the head with a heavy revolver and my skull broken and was also shot in the left side and to the present time carry the bullet in my body. No one knows what I have suffered from these wounds. At times they render me almost crazy. |
